Information For Public Sector Organisations

The East of England Contracts Database is available for public sector organisations to use free of charge. You may choose to use the Improvement East system as the single storage place for contracts data from your organisation or you can run it in parallel with your own system.

Either way, we hope that you will see the benefits of the - the database is fully compliant with government guidelines on publishing your contracts data on-line and, more importantly, it enables you to interrogate contracts data from other public sector organisations across the East of England. This can help to identify opportunities for collaborative procurement or for bench-marking across suppliers in common usage.

Contributing your data to the Contracts Database is simple.

The first step is to request administrator access for your organisation. You can do this by sending an e-mail to us - info@eelga.gov.uk

Once you have access to the database, you can either choose to add your contracts individually or Improvement East can upload them in bulk using a standard spread-sheet template. We will provide you with a copy of this template for you to complete and return to us. When your contracts are uploaded, it is a matter of keeping this data accurate and up-to-date to ensure that it is useful to both your own organisations, other public sector organisations who access the database and potential suppliers who may be viewing the data on-line.

If you would like to discuss the Contracts Database in more detail before requesting your admin access, then please contact Eddie Gibson at Improvement East on 01284 758300 or by email to eddie.gibson@eelga.gov.uk
